Friday, June 2, 2017, 12:15 p.m. — A barn was destroyed by fire Friday morning in the Samuels area off KY 245.
At about 7:23 a.m. Friday, the Nelson County Fire Department was dispatched for a reported barn on fire in the area of the southern intersection of Samuels Loop and New Shepherdsville Road. When firefighters arrived the barn was already fully involved in flames. Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading and were on the scene for about 90 minutes. Nelson County EMS also responded with an ambulance on standby in the event of an injury at the fire scene.
