Wednesday, April 22, 2015 — A Bloomfield woman suffered serious injuries Tuesday evening in a 
collision between a motorcycle and an SUV on Clarktown Road near the entrance to Melody Lake. Nelson County EMS, the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and the New Hope Fire Department responded to the accident reported at about 6:06 p.m.
Susan Prewitt, 42, was riding a Honda 100 dirt bike when it was involved in a collision with an SUV. EMS transported Prewitt to a landing zone set up by the fire department. From there she was flown to University Hospital for evaluation and treatment of her injuries, which included head trauma. Non one else was injured in the crash. The sheriff’s office investigated the crash.
