Smoke was visible coming from the home’s attic when the first firefighters arrived. Fire crews worked inside and outside the home to make access to the attic. Firefighters used the existing attic access space to extinguish the fire, and reported the fire under control at about 4:40 a.m. With the fire knocked down, firefighters entered the attic and removed charred ceiling joists and insulation to prevent a rekindle of the fire.
Firefighters were on scene for four hours.
