City firefighters respond for deck fire at home on Tyler Court

Wednesday, March 23, 2016, 3 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Wednesday morning to a fire reported at the rear of a residence in the 100 block of Tyler Court. Firefighters were dispatched at about 10 a.m., and arrived to find that the deck at the rear of the home was on fire, and the fire was starting to spread to the home’s attic area. Firefighters extinguished the fire and checked the attic for fire or damage. Firefighters were on the scene for about 30 minutes.
