Cooking smoke triggers fire alarm on third floor at Flaget Hospital

fireshieldWednesday, July 17, 2013, 12:36 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm on the third floor of Flaget Memorial Hospital at about 2:33 Tuesday afternoon. Maintenance personnel told responding firefighters the alarm was triggered by smoke from cooking in the third-floor kitchen. Firefighters reported the smoke had cleared by the time they arrived and the alarm reset. Firefighters were on scene for about 10 minutes.
