Cox’s Creek Elementary student injured in fall on playground

Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, 2:20 p.m. — A 6-year-old boy was injured in a fall off playground equipment Tuesday afternoon at Cox’s Creek Elementary School. Nelson County EMS responded about 1:35 Tuesday afternoon for a report of an injured child on the school playground. First-responders reported the student fell from monkey bars on the playground. The youth complained of neck and back pain. He was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
