Cox’s Creek man injured after report of being struck by lightning

Thursday, July 26, 2012, 11:36 p.m. — A Cox’s Creek man was taken to the hospital Thursday night after he was struck by lightning when it also struck his house or near his house. Nelson County EMS was called to the 2000 block of North Cox’s Creek Lane for a man reportedly struck by lightning who was suffering from chest pain and shortness of air. EMS transported the 27-year-old man to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
