Crash ends chase of man suspected of Snider Drugs armed robbery

Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, 11:45 a.m. — An unidentified man was arrested Monday morning after he robbed Snider Drugs in Bloomfield at gunpoint about 8:45 Monday morning. The robber fled the scene in a blue Kia, which was identified by store co-owner and pharmacist Steve King.

The man led a Kentucky State Police trooper on a chase east on US 62 into Anderson County, where the man crashed his car and was arrested.

The man entered the business and claimed to have a gun in a duffel bag. He demanded specific narcotics from the store’s supplies. King gave the man a quantity of the drugs and the man fled the store. No one was injured in the incident.

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and KSP are investigating the incident.
