Drug overdose call prompts arrest on domestic violence charge

Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, 10:15 a.m. — An early morning report of a drug overdose in the 100 block of Stumph’s Court prompted a response by police and EMS and resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old man.

Nelson County EMS and the Sheriff’s Office were dispatched about 4:20 Friday morning to an address on Stumph’s Court for a reported overdose on an unknown type of pills. After investigating, police determined a domestic-related incident had taken place. The patient refused treatment and transport by EMS. The man was arrested and lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
