Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, 5:23 p.m. — The Northeast Nelson Fire Department, the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and Nelson County EMS were sent to the 38 mile marker on the Blue Grass Parkway for a report of a vehicle off the roadway. First firefighter on the scene helped the victim out of the overturned vehicle. The driver, a 61-year-old woman, complained of left elbow, right hip and neck pain. Police en route reported the parkway was snow-covered, slick and hazardous along the 35 mile marker. The woman was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment. the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office investigated the accident.
