EMS, firefighters respond to man injured in fall on Shady Lane

Monday, July 11, 2011, 4 p.m. — Nelson County EMS, the Boston Fire Department and police were called to the 500 block of Shady Lane for a 38-year-old man who suffered a head injury from a fall. When firefighters arrived, they found the man semi-conscious and combative. Family members were unsure of when the man sustained the injury. While EMS was working with the victim he became unresponsive, and EMS requested a medical helicopter to respond to the old Boston Elementary School to transport the patient. The man was flown to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
