EMS, police respond Saturday for rear-end crash on Cathedral Manor

Saturday, June 18, 2016, 8 p.m. — Bardstown Police were called Saturday afternoon at about 4:40 p.m. to the intersection of Pioneer Pass and New Haven Road to put down an injured deer that had been struck by a vehicle. While officers were dealing with the injured deer, a Ford Focus passenger car rear-ended a Toyota Corolla at that location, resulting in two people with possible injuries. Nelson County EMS and the Bardstown Fire Department responded, and both individuals refused transport by EMS. The accident shut down New Haven Road for about 30 minutes.
