Friday, June 17, 2011, 5:53 p.m. — Nelson County EMS reponded to the beach at Melody Lake for a woman suffering from a cut on her foot. The caller said the woman has lost a lot of blood and may be going into shock. The New Hope Fire Department has been called to assist EMS.
6:12 p.m. — Firefighters report 26 year old female has a deep cut on her right foot and the victim is in shock. A nurse is on scene with the victim.
