Wednesday, May 30, 2012, 12:10 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Tuesday afternoon about 2:15 to Communicare/Bardstown Industries at the Guthrie Opportunity Center, 900 Nutter Drive, for an active fire alarm. Firefighters arrived to find the building evacuated. After investigating the alarm, firefighters found a faulty valve in the sprinkler system. Both the alarm system and the sprinkler system will be serviced, firefighters reported. Fire crews were on scene for just more than 30 minutes.
