Firefighters called back to Leathers Lane area for second fire

Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, 9 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to return to the Leathers Lane area off Woodlawn Road for a report of another barn on fire. Firefighters had been the location for an earlier barn fire and had been gone for about an hour when they were called back for a reported second barn burning. Firefighters requested an  additional tanker truck from the Northeast Nelson Fire Department to assist with the fire. Firefighters advised dispatchers the fire would continue to burn for several hours. Fire units left the scene about 11:26 p.m.
