Wednesday, July 4, 2012, 1:50 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to 104 E. Forrest Ave. for a report of a backyard that was on fire from fireworks. The resident believes the fire is out but requested the fire department to make sure it was extinguished. Firefighters report the fire was out on arrival, responding fire units were canceled. The call to firefighters came in about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.
