Monday, March 20, 2011, 1:06 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to a reported field fire at 1430 Barnes Road. The call came in about 1 p.m. Monday. Firefighters on scene report the fire covers approximately 1-1/2 acres of woods.
1:15 p.m. — Incident commander requests dispatch to request the state Department of Forestry for help fighting the fire, which is now about 3 acres in size and spreading vertically and horizontally up a knob.
1:45 p.m. — Firefighters report they have the fire contained.
