Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, 8:45 p.m. –– The Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched Sunday afternoon for a report of a possible lightning strike at a home in the 100 block of Limestone Boulevard. Firefighters responded to the call at 5:55 p.m. after residents reported the strong smell of smoke in the home. The residence was evacuated when firefighters arrived. After their investigation, firefighters determined there was no fire. Firefighters were on the scene for about 30 minutes.
