Firefighters respond to active alarm at Bardstown Kroger store

Tuesday, April 2, 2013, 1:14 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to Kroger, 102 W. John Rowan Blvd. about 9:27 Tuesday morning for an active fire alarm reported by the store’s alarm company. Firefighters investigated the activation and determined the cause was an alarm system malfunction with a sprinkler riser. Firefighters were on scene for about 10 minutes.
