Saturday, March 10, 2012, 4:49 p.m. — The Bardstownw Fire Department responded Saturday afternoon to the an apartment in the 100 block of Ashbery Drive for a report of smoke in the garage. Firefighters responded to investigate, and determined a gas can in the garage ignited and burned. Firefighters checked the interior of the garage with a thermal imaging camera to check to be sure the fire had not spread into the walls. Firefighters cleared the scene about 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
