Sunday, March 13, 2011, 7:51 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to a possible field fire on Poplar Flat Road between Polley Drive and Surge Lane. Dispatchers receive a call from an individual in the 900 block of Poplar Flat who had a controlled burn in the area and has it mostly out. Incident commander confirms the report, firefighers’ response is canceled.
