Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, 6 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called about 3:25 Monday afternoon to a grease fire in the kitchen of a home at 106 South Aspen St. Firefighters arrived to find a working fire underway. Crews quickly brought the fire under control and extinguished it. The American Red Cross was called to assist the home’s residents with housing needs. Firefighters were on scene for less than an hour.
