Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, 7 p.m. — A Monday afternoon motorcycle crash on KY 84 south of Howardstown near the Nelson-LaRue county line claimed 
the life of a Louisville man.
Nelson County EMS, the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and the Rolling Fork Fire Department were dispatched at 2:26 Monday afternoon for the crash.
Lewis Scott Payton, 50, was traveling east on KY 84 when he lost control of his 2009 Yamaha motorcycle and left the roadway. He was transported by Nelson County EMS and then on to University Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
