Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, 9:20 a.m. — A 54-year-old male was airlifted to University Hospital after he was believed to have accidentally shot himself with a shotgun. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police are investigating an accidental shooting that happened Tuesday morning. Nelson County EMS transported a 54-year-old man who was the victim of an accidental shotgun would to the upper chest to Flaget Memorial Hospital. From Flaget the man was flown by helicopter to Louisville. Police and EMS were dispatched about 8:30 a.m.
