Saturday, June 8, 2013, 1:30 a.m. — A 74-year-old man died Friday afternoon when the mowing equipment he was operating overturned, trapping him beneath it.
At about 5 p.m. Friday, Nelson County EMS and the New Hope Fire Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1600 block of Coon Hollow Road, southwest of New Hope for a man injured from. Callers told Nelson County Dispatch the victim was initially under the mower, but after being freed was unconscious and not breathing. A member of the New Hope Fire Department arrived on the scene and confirmed the victim was deceased. The Nelson County Coroner and a police chaplain responded to the scene.
