Man cited after striking several mailboxes, street light, fire hydrant

Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, 1:30 p.m. — A man was arrested about 4:30 Monday morning after the truck he was operating struck several mail boxes, at least one parked vehicle, a street light pole and knocked over a fire hydrant in the area of North Salem Drive, McGowan and Autumn Avenues. Police were called after a man struck a brick mail box. After he was arrested, officers discovered damage in other areas in the neighborhood.
