STAFF REPORT


At about 8:30 p.m. Nelson County EMS was dispatched to a home on Hwy 1066 after man dove into a pool and struck his head. According to witnesses, the man suffered back and neck injuries. The man, believed to be about 50, was removed from the pool by bystanders. EMS treated the man at the scene and transported him to Bloomfield Middle School where a landing zone was established by the Northeast Nelson Fire Department. The man was flown from BMS to University Hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injuries.
