Sunday, July 29, 2012, 12:33 p.m. — A motorcycle rider pulling out of a driveway on Bennett Lane was struck by a passing vehicle about 11:15 Sunday morning. The victim, described as being in his mid-40s, was found by EMTs laying on the side of the road. He was not wearing a helmet. He was taken by Nelson County EMS to Jewish South in Bullitt County where they were met by a medical helicopter that flew the injured man on to University Hospital. The victim was suffering from a possible head injury, as well as chest pain, abrasions and a possible punctured lung.
