Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, 2 p.m. — A 67-year-old Culvertown area man was injured Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle motorcycle wreck on Monks Road near the Abbey of Gethsemani. Nelson County EMS and police were dispatched for a report of a motorcycle off the road in a corn field and its rider unconscious at about 12:55 p.m.
Nelson County EMS transported the injured man from the scene to a waiting medical helicopter at Flaget Memorial Hospital. The man was flown to University Hospital with possible head trauma.
