Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, 11:10 p.m. — A 22-year-old Bloomfield area man was taken to the hospital after a reported overdose of a prescription medicine. Nelson County EMS was called to the 1000 block of Russell Road after receiving a report of an overdose. The man allegedly left the home but passed out and was carried back into the residence by family members. The man told EMTs he drank a beer and then took some of the medicine that belonged to another person in the residence. He was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
