Thursday, May 5, 2011, 2 a.m. — The New Haven Fire Department was called to the apartment building at 307 Locust Street for an odor investigation. A caller said he could smell smoke in the area, but could not determine the source.
2:27 a.m. — Firefighters have been checking apartments and have not found smoke. They are waiting on a manager to allow them access to a fourth apartment.
2:30 a.m. — Firefighters found no smoke or problems at any of the apartments and are returning to station.
