Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, 10:30 a.m. — The New Haven Fire Department was called to 321 Center St. for a furnace fire. Caller said smoke was filling the residence. The fire department was dispatched about 8:20 Friday morning. Firefighters determined that lint on the furnace had ignited. The fire was extinguished and the residence was ventilated.
