Northeast Nelson firefighters respond to Chaplin-area house fire

Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, 9:44 a.m. — The Northeast Nelson Fire Department responded Friday morning to a house fire in the 400 block of Old Willisburg Road in Chaplin. The Bardstown Fire Department was called to assist with manpower after the fire was knocked down and firefighters began salvage operations. The American Red Cross was called to assist the family — two adults and three children age 7 and under — with housing.
