Northeast Nelson, EMS respond to Wilkerson Road barn fire

Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, 11:44 p.m. — The Northeast Nelson Fire Department and Nelson County EMS responded to the area of 2841 Wilkerson Road for a barn on fire. The call came in to Nelson County Dispatch about 11:45 Thursday night.

12:14 a.m. — Firefighters report the barn was about 3/4 consumed by the fire. Firefighters worked to save a fifth-wheel trailer parked next to the barn.
