Thursday, July 28, 2011, 2:12 p.m. — The Northeast Nelson Fire Department was called to the 500 block of Stevens Lane north of Bloomfield for a report of smoke coming from the home’s vents. Caller reports the residence has been evacuated.
2:43 p.m. — Firefighters determine the smoke was caused by an overheated fan in the HVAC system. They have ventilated the home and the motor is disconnected.
