Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, 9 p.m. — The Northeast Nelson Fire Department responded Wednesday morning at 7:13 to a report of a fire along side the roadway in the 1000 block of Stevens Lane north of Bloomfield. Firefighters responded and located newspapers that had been set on fire along the side of the road. Firefighters extinguished the fire and were on scene for only a short time.
