Sunday, July 3, 2011, 3:09 p.m. — The Northeast Nelson Fire Department is responding to a structure fire at 107 Oak Street in Bloomfield. Incident commander has requested a utility representative respond, and to have Spencer County Fire to be on standby in the event they are needed for mutual aid.
4 p.m. — The fire is out and firefighters checked for extension in the home’s attic area. The incident commander at the fire scene has requested an officer from the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office for a possible criminal investigation.
