Barbara June Roby Blaine, 83, of Bardstown, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at Life Care Center of Bardstown. She was born May 3, 1932, in New Hope. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Blaine Sr.; two sons, Charles W. Blaine Jr., and Douglas Blaine; one grandson, Travis Wayne Parrott; one granddaughter, Amanda Wilkerson; her parents, John and Irene Roby; one brother, Joseph Michael Roby Sr.; and one sister, Agnes Blair.
She is survived by three daughters, Susie Blaine, Pam Blaine, and Penny Blaine all of Bardstown; four sons, Jimmy (Sherrie) Blaine, Larry Paul Blaine, John “Duke” (Melisa) Blaine, and Glenn (Dottie) Blaine; one sister, Christine Prewitt of Mount Washington; two brothers, John (Velma) Roby of Louisville, and Tommy (Lottie) Roby of Lebanon; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass is 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Matthew Hardesty officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016 and 9-noon Thursday at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service is 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may go to Masses at Holy Trinity Catholic Church or American Legion Post 157 for Disabled Veterans.
