Brian “Clyde” Claxton, 53, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born March 18, 1965, in Bardstown. He was an employee of Conway-Heaton, and a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Claxton; his father, James Junior Duncan; and two brothers, Carlos Claxton and Robert “Red” Claxton.
He is survived by two sisters, Cynthia Claxton and Genita Claxton, both of Bardstown; six brothers, William “Lit” Lydian, Marion Jacobs, Michael (Darlene) Johnson and Dale (Melissa) Claxton, all of Bardstown, Tony (Theresa) Jacobs of Lexington and Dr. Ronald Claxton of Columbus, Ohio; a special friend, Lisa Stone of Bardstown; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Bardstown with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial is in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
Visitation is 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at the church.
