Joseph Leslie “Junior” Bartley Jr., 76, died Friday June 24, 2016, at his residence. He was born Feb. 17, 1940, in Nelson County. He was a retired construction worker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.


He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Ann Bartley Keeling; his parents, Joseph Leslie Bartley Sr. and Bessie Gaffney Bartley; three brothers, Charles Bartley, Tommy Bartley, and Billy Bartley; and one granddaughter, Brittany Bartley.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cindy Nutgrass Bartley; four sons, Jody Bartley, Steve (Radonna) Bartley, both of Bloomfield, Gary (Jenny) Bartley of Lebanon and Matthew Bartley of Bloomfield; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Martha (Neil) Wilmouth and Ann (Tom) Gardner, both of Bardstown, and Edith (Jim) Riggs of Louisville; three brothers, Bobby (Marcella) Bartley of Holy Cross, Pat (Shirley) Bartley of Culvertown and Keith (Pat) Bartley of New Hope; and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Jason Harris officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016, and 9-10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Barlow Funeral Home with a prayer service Monday evening.
Memorial contributions may go to American Cancer Society.
