Robert Hugh “Bobby” Carter, 83, of Nelsonville, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He enjoyed auto racing and UK sports. He was a retired employee of General Electric and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Golden and Alene Booth Carter; and his wife, Sara White Carter.
He is survived by one daughter, Gina Cundiff (Stacey); two sons, Greg Carter and David (Theresa) Carter; one sister, Tootsie Williams (Fred); one brother, Benny Carter (Joan); 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the Rolling Fork Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
