Obituary: Wanda Marie Smith, 74, New Haven

Wanda Marie Smith, 74, of New Haven, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, in Louisville. She was born Oct. 18, 1951, in Nelson County to Louis and Lucille Smith.

She loved decorating, especially country style decor. She loved her grandchildren and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Carolyn Metcalfe; and one brother, Johnny Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Smith of New Haven; two sons, Derrick Gribbins and Dane Gribbins; four sisters, Marilyn (Darrell) Greenwell, Mary Ellen (Dan) Ballard, Brenda Gilpin, and Louise Clark; five brothers, Donnie (Jan) Smith, Charlie Smith, Bill (Vicki) Smith, Marion (Lisa) Smith, and Joe (Jennifer) Smith; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Barlow Funeral Home.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
