Officers respond to complaint of shots fired in the Boston area

Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, 12:30 p.m. — Nelson County deputy sheriffs responded Saturday morning about 8:13 to a call of shots fired near a home in th 2000 block of Petersburg Road in the Boston area. The caller said bullets were falling on their property from people shooting nearby. One officer noted the gunfire may be related to the opening of squirrel season on Saturday. Officers investigated and referred the complainant to the county attorney.
