Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, 1:20 a.m. — One person was arrested early Saturday morning after an altercation on Stumph’s Court that began after residents reported a large truck drove through their yard. Witnesses reported hearing what sounded like gunshots fired among a group of people gathering on the street when a resident confronted the individuals about the mishap. Two officers with the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call,which came in to Nelson County Dispatch about 12:25 Saturday morning. The individual was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
