Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016, 6 p.m. — One person was injured Saturday afternoon in a multi-vehicle accident on Springfield Road between the entrance of Pottershop Loop and Springhill Drive. Nelson County EMS, Bardstown Police, and Bardstown Fire were dispatched at about 1:42 p.m. for a multi-vehicle accident with possible entrapment. Springfield Road was shut down for about 40 minutes while the vehicles were recovered, two of which left the road and traveled down an embankment.
EMS treated a 58-year-old man at the scene and transported him to Flaget Memorial Hospital with complaints of leg and knee pain.
