One injured Thursday in single-vehicle crash on High Grove Road

Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, 9 p.m. — One person was injured Thursday evening in a single-vehicle accident on High Grove Road about a quarter of a mile from the intersection of US31E and KY48.

Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Fire Department were dispatched at 8:41 p.m. for an injury accident with possible entrapment. Firefighters arrived on the scene and assisted the vehicle’s occupants escape from the vehicle, which was on its side.

EMS transported a 17-year-old female was treated and the scene and then transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital complaining of chest, back and head pain. Two other occupants of the car refused treatment by EMS.

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office investigated the accident.
