Police called to N. Third apartment after man threatens to harm self

Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, 11:45 p.m. — The Kentucky State Police, Bardstown police and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to an upstairs apartment in the 100 block of North Third Street in Bardstown for a report of a 44-year-old intoxicated man armed with a box cutter threatening to harm himself. The man was on the phone with KSP dispatchers while officers were responding to the location. Police met with the man without incident or injury. He was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital by Nelson County EMS.
