Sunday, July 29, 2012, 1:40 a.m. — A 51-year-old woman was transported to the hospital about 1:30 Sunday morning after she ingested an intentional overdose of medications. Bardstown Police and Nelson County EMS were called to an apartment in the 100 block of Ashberry Drive for a suicide attempt. Family members told first-responders the woman had left a note stating her intentions and had taken an overdose of medicine that included muscle relaxers and anti-depressants. EMS transported the woman to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
