Police, EMS respond to reported suicide attempt on Lucy Drive

Saturday, March 10, 2012, 3:49 p.m. – A 27 year-old man was hospitalized early Saturday morning after he attempted suicide by cutting his neck with a knife. Nelson County EMS and Bardstown Police were called to an address on Lucy Drive for a reported suicide attempt at 2:20 a.m. Saturday. EMS said the man had attempted an overdose by taking several prescription medications in addition to the self-inflicted a 2 to 3-inch cut on the left side of his neck. He was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
