Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, 11:30 p.m. — Nelson County EMS and police responded to the 100 block of Valleyview Drive Thursday morning about 11:20 for a report of a possible suicide attempt. Police arrived and found the victim, a 43-year-old man, unconscious but breathing after an apparent overdose on prescription medication. EMS transported the man to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
